Vulnerability Statement CVE-2021-4428
We inform you that following the report of a flaw in log4j under the reference CVE-2021-44228, we have proceeded to the verification of our products and components. Our logging support does not use log4j for ES, EEA, ESS, ECA, ELP, ELS products. This vulnerability may nevertheless be present in version 10 of Eptica Search Engine (ESE).
ESE version 10 is used in the Engagement Suite in version 9.6 and includes a third-party component called ElasticSearch. This component is not exposed on the internet, so there was no impact, we nevertheless applied a precautionary setting from Friday December 10 in the evening in order to secure this component on all our hosted instances.
If your Eptica instance is in a version lower than 9.6, so it is not affected by this vulnerability. If you have any questions about this, you can contact via the options below.
